The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim are a Major League Baseball team that competes in the American League West Division. The team has been around since 1961, and it is safe to say that this will hold true for many years to come. Despite several name changes over the past few years, one thing has always remained the same. That being that the Angels will field a competitive team no matter what city they call home.
The Angels play their home games at Angel Stadium of Anaheim, and have been doing so since 1966. Although the name of the venue has changed a few times, it is still one of the most historic in the league.
The Angels only World Series Title came in 2002. To go along with this title, the Angels have also won the Western Division on several occasions. These years include 1979, 1982, 1986, 2004, and 2005. The Angels are currently devoted to buying the best players possible, and for this reason they should be a force to be reckoned with over the next few seasons.
Many great players have worn an Angels uniform over the years. Three of the most influential include Nolan Ryan, Rod Carew, and Jim Fregosi. Although these are three of the best players in Angels history, many others have also contributed in big ways.
As you can see, the Angels stand for integrity and a high desire to win. With that in mind, it is only a matter of time before they claim another World Series Title.
