Cincinnati Reds Information:
The Cincinnati Reds compete in the National League Central Division of Major League Baseball. The Reds franchise was established in 1869, which makes it one of the oldest in all of professional sports. With so many years under of playing, it is easy to see why the Reds have such a large following. Although the Reds have not been as successful as some teams, they have had their share of good times over the years.
The Reds currently play their home games at Great American Ball Park; one of the newer stadiums in the league. This is the ninth stadium that they have played at, and it is safe to say that they will be calling Great American Ball Park home for many years to come.
There have been quite a few top notch players to pass through the Reds organization over the years. Just a few of the more famous ones include Pete Rose, Frank Robinson, Joe Morgan, Johnny Bench, Sparky Anderson (manager), and many more.
The Reds have five World Series Titles to their name. These titles came in 1919, 1940, 1975, 1976, and 1990. Additionally, the Reds also won National League Pennants in 1919, 1939, 1940, 1961, 1970, 1972, 1975, 1976, and 1990.
For many years, the Cincinnati Reds have been synonymous with the game of baseball. As far as the greatest franchises of all time are concerned, there is no denying the fact that the Reds should be at the top of this list. Not only have they won quite a few games over the years, but they always operate with class.
