Washington Nationals Information:
The Washington Nationals are a Major League Baseball team that competes in the National League East Division. Despite a lot of competition, the Nationals have always been a competitive team. Before moving to Washington in 2005 and assuming the Nationals name, this franchise was known as the Montreal Expos.
The Nationals play their home games at RFK Stadium, and have done so since moving to the area in 2005. Although the Nationals have had a few good seasons at this venue, they will be moving into a newer ballpark within the next few years. This is necessary if the Nationals want to compete with a high level of success.
The franchise has never been one of the most successful, but new ownership is hoping to change this in the near future. In fact, the Nationals have never won a World Series Title or National League Pennant. But even though they have struggled in both Montreal and Washington, the Nationals have always had a nice fan base.
Many great players have competed for the Nationals and the old Expos. They include Gary Carter, Andre Dawson, and many more.
Overall, the Washington Nationals are hoping to make some noise during the upcoming season. New ownership is devoted to winning more games, and the Nationals should be able to meet this goal within the next few years.
