Progressive Field (formerly Jacobs Field) Information:
Progressive Field (Jacobs Field) is located in Cleveland, Ohio, and has been known as one of the nicest stadiums in the country since opening its doors in April of 1994. Progressive Field is part of the Gateway Sports and Entertainment complex in downtown Cleveland, and has been a major reason as to why this city has seen growth over the past 10 years. The fact of the matter is that the construction of Progressive Field started the city of Cleveland in the right direction, and it has been growing ever since.
The Cleveland Indians of the MLB is the only team that plays its home games at Progressive Field. Every summer the Indians play 81 home games at this ballpark, and the majority of them are sold out. With a capacity of 43,345 Progressive Field is not the largest stadium in the league, but it does have a lot to offer in the way of benefits and fan experience. If you ask anybody who has ever seen a game at Progressive Field they will tell you just how much they enjoyed the site lines, the food, and the overall experience.
Progressive Field (Jacobs Field) is also known to many locals as "The Jake." But one thing is for sure. No matter what you call this venue it will always be one of the best in all of Major League Baseball. Newer ballparks have been built, but not many have been able to surpass the experience that is offered to fans at Progressive Field.
