Great American Ball Park Field Information:
Great American Ball Park is located in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is one of the newest stadiums in the country. This venue opened in 2003 after a three year construction project that cost approximately $290 million. With so much money going into Great American Ball Park it is easy to see why many feel that it is one of the best stadiums in the entire country. Many fans and local residents refer to Great American Ball Park as GABP for short.
At this time the Cincinnati Reds of the MLB is the only team to occupy Great American Ball Park on a regular basis. They play all of their home games at this park, and have been doing so since March 31, 2003. It is safe to say that Great American Ball Park will be the home of the Reds for many years to come. With so many features and amenities there is no chance that the fans, the city, or the organization will get tired of what it has to offer.
The capacity of Great American Ball Park is only 42,059 making it one of the smaller parks in the league. But even though Great American Ball Park cannot hold as many fans as some other parks, when the Reds start to score runs the fans make as much noise as any other venue in the country.
In addition to regularly scheduled baseball games, many other events have also taken place at Great American Ball Park. Most notably, President George Bush held a rally at this venue in October of 2004.
Anybody who has the chance to see a game or event at Great American Ball Park should take advantage. This park has a lot to offer fans!
