Florida Marlins Information:
The Florida Marlins compete in the National League East Division of Major League Baseball. Based in Miami, Florida, the Marlins bring fun and excitement to thousands of fans each summer. Although the Marlins franchise has only been around since 1993, they have already made some strides towards showing just how much potential they have. It is safe to say that Marlins fans have seen many good days in a relatively short span of time.
The Marlins have played their home games at Dolphin Stadium since joining the league more than 10 years ago. Although this stadium has not always been known as this name, it has always been considered one of the top outdoor venues in the state of Florida.
The Marlins are not new to winning. This is evident by the two World Series Titles that they have won; one in 1997 and the other in 2003. The amazing thing about both of these teams is that they entered the playoffs as a wildcard. In other words, they were not even good enough during the regular season to win the division. But this just goes to show you that any team can win the World Series if they get hot at the right time.
Over the years, many great players have worn the Marlins uniform. It is safe to say that as the franchise gets older, the number of top players to compete for the Marlins will only continue to grow.

Dolphin Stadium Information:
Dolphin Stadium (previously known as Joe Robbie Stadium, Pro Player Stadium, Pro Player Park, and Dolphins Stadium) is a football, lacrosse, soccer and baseball stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, a suburb north of Miami. The stadium serves as host to both the Miami Dolphins and the Florida Marlins.
Since its construction, there have been four Super Bowls (XXIII, XXIX, XXXIII, XLI) and two World Series ('97 and '03) played in the stadium. The stadium will serve as host for Super Bowl XLIV in 2010.
The stadium has been home to the Miami Dolphins since 1987 and to the Florida Marlins since 1993. However, stadium management has indicated that the Marlins must find a new venue by the end of their current lease. It has been the site of the FedEx Orange Bowl game since 1996, except for the January 1999 contest between Florida and Syracuse, which had to be moved due to a conflict with a Dolphins playoff game. Dolphin Stadium has played host to four Super Bowls in 1989, 1995, 1999, and 2007, with another scheduled in 2010, two World Series (1997 and 2003), and numerous concerts, featuring entertainers such as U2, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Elton John, Billy Joel, Chicago, Genesis, Gloria Estefan, Guns N' Roses, The Who, Hall & Oates, Rod Stewart, Paul McCartney, and The Three Tenors.
