Houston Astros Information:

The Houston Astros are a Major League Baseball team that competes in the National League Central Division. Since 1962, the Astros have been racking up wins, and it is safe to say that this is going to hold true for many years to come. Although they are not nearly as old as some other franchises, this has not stopped them from signing great players and winning thousands of games.

The Astros have played their home games at Minute Maid Park since 2002. Upon opening, this stadium was known as one of the best in the league and this still holds true today. The fact of the matter is that the Astros will be calling Minute Maid Park home for many more years to come.

Believe it or not, the Astros have never won a World Series Title. For a franchise that has had so much success over the years, this is quite difficult to believe. They did win the National League Pennant in 2005 as well as their division in 1997, 1998, 1999, and 2001. It is only a matter of time until the Astros pick things up and make it back to the Fall Classic.

There have been quite a few big name players to wear the Astros uniform in the past. Some of the more popular players include Nolan Ryan, Don Wilson, Mike Scott, Jimmy Wynn, and Jim Umbricht among many others.

As you can see, the Astros have been competitive for many years. With a dedication to being the best of the best, the Astros will always be a team of class and distinction.

Minute Maid Park Information:

Minute Maid Park is located in Houston, Texas, and is widely regarded as one of the nicest and most modern venues in this part of the country. Since opening its doors in 2006, Minute Maid Park has played host to hundreds of events. And as the years go by, it is safe to say that this park is going to be just as crowded as ever before.

The Houston Astros of the MLB is the only team to play its home games at Minute Maid Park. At a capacity of 40,950 this is one of the smaller venues in the league. But with that being said, fans have the ability to take advantage of a great experience when they visit Minute Maid Park. Not only are the site lines of the field clear from every seat in the park, but the concessions are also top of the line as well.

Although this venue has only been around for a few years, it has been known as many different names. In addition to its current name, the venue was also called Enron Field from 2002 to 2002. At that time it was switched to Astros Field which lasted a year at which time Minute Maid bought the naming rights.

In addition to baseball games, Minute Maid Park has also hosted other sporting events such as American Football, soccer, rugby, and much more. The 2004 MLB All Star Game was played at Minute Maid Park, and this was followed up in 2005 when the venue hosted its first ever World Series game.

All in all, Minute Maid Park has a lot to offer. It is one of the newest parks in the league, and fans seem to love the experience. Anybody who has the chance to see a game at Minute Maid Park should take advantage.
