Minnesota Twins Information:
The Minnesota Twins are a Major League Baseball team that competes in the American League Central Division. The franchise was established in 1901, but has only been based in Minneapolis/St. Paul since 1961. From 1901 to 1960, the team was known as the Washington Nationals and Washington Senators. But when the team moved to Minnesota it was obvious that they were on their way to better things. This is why the Twins have stayed in this area for so long, and will be there for many more to come.
The Twins play their home games at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome. They have used this stadium since 1982, and it is one of the more outdated parks in the league. But with that being said, this venue gives the Twins quite a home field advantage.
The franchise has three World Series Titles to its name. They came in 1924, 1987, and 1991. They have also won six American League Pennants in the years of 1924, 1925, 1933, 1965, 1987, and 1981. As you can see, the Twins have a history of winning.
There have been many great players who have competed for the Twins over the years. Some of the best include Kirby Puckett, Rod Carew, Harmon Killebrew, Kent Hrbek, and many more.
Over the past few years the Minnesota Twins have won quite a few games. In fact, they won Central Division Titles in 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2006. It is safe to say that they are looking forward to more of the same in the future.

Metrodome Information:
The Metrodome is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The formal name is the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome, but most people refer to it simply as the Metrodome or The Dome. But no matter what you call the Metrodome, it has been one of the top venues in the NFL since it opened in 1982. And although many people feel that it is time for the Metrodome to go, the memories made inside will last forever.
The Minnesota Vikings of the NFL are the main tenant of the Metrodome. They began playing at the dome the year that it opened. The Minnesota Twins also use the Metrodome for home games, and are slated to do so until the 2009 season. Additionally, several University of Minnesota sports programs also use the Metrodome for home games.
The seating capacity of the Metrodome can change based on the sport that is being played. For baseball games the capacity is 48,000; for basketball 50,000; and for football 64,000. This does not make the Metrodome the largest venue, but these numbers are more than adequate.
Due to an aging design it is safe to say that the Metrodome will be replaced by all its tenants in the near future. But until then, fans will love every second that they get to enjoy inside the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome.
