New York Yankees Information:
The New York Yankees are a Major League Baseball team that competes in the American League East Division. The Yankees are one of the most well known professional sports teams in the world, and for good reason. Since 1901, the Yankees have won more World Series Titles than any other team in the league. Additionally, they have one of the largest fan bases in all of baseball.
The Yankees have been playing their home games at Yankee Stadium since 1923. Although the end is near for this venue, there is no denying the fact that Yankee Stadium will always be remembered for all the great games that took place there.
Believe it or not, the Yankees have won an astounding 26 World Series Titles. They won their first title in 1923, and their most recent came in 2000. As you can see, the Yankees organization expects to win the World Series year in and year out. The same holds true for the fans of this beloved franchise.
Many great players have competed for the Yankees in the past. Some of the most popular include Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, Yogi Berra, Roger Maris, Reggie Jackson, Don Mattingly, Derek Jeter, and many more. It would be impossible to list all of the great players who have contributed to the Yankees over the years.
The New York Yankees have not won the World Series since 2000. It is safe to say that they are working harder than ever before to make sure that this streak does not last much longer.

Yankee Stadium Information:
Yankee Stadium is located in The Bronx in New York City. Since opening in 1923 this stadium has hosted thousands of games, and has seen many great players come through it. Although Yankee Stadium is one of the oldest venues in the country, it is safe to say that it is also one of the most popular and historic. For this reason, people travel from all over each summer to see a game or two inside of Yankee Stadium.
The New York Yankees are the only team that plays their home games at Yankee Stadium. A few other professional teams have also used the stadium, but none since the New York Giants of the NFL in 1973.
In 2006, the Yankees decided that it was time for a change and broke ground on a new stadium. This means that the current Yankee Stadium will only be hosting games until the end of the 2008 season. At this time it will be destroyed, and the only thing remaining will be the underground clubhouses.
Yankee Stadium is also known by many as "The Stadium" or "The House that Ruth Built." But no matter what you call this venue, it has a lot to offer. Even though it is a bit long in the tooth, this stadium can still hold nearly 60,000 fans. To go along with this it offers top of the line concessions, and a fan experience that is difficult to match anywhere in the league.
With so much to offer Yankee Stadium has been one of the greatest in the world since it opened more than 80 years ago. Although it is only going to be around for a couple more seasons, the Yankee franchise and the many fans who have visited the grounds will always remember it.
