Pittsburgh Pirates Information:

The Pittsburgh Pirates are a Major League Baseball team that competes in the National League Central Division. The Pirates have been a member of Major League Baseball since 1882 which makes them one of the oldest franchises in all of professional sports. This long history and many years of winning have gone a long way in making the Pirates popular both in the city of Pittsburgh and nationwide.

The Pirates play their home games at PNC Park, and have done so since 2001. When built a few years ago many felt that this was the best stadium in the league. Although some newer venues have been built, PNC Park still has a lot to offer both fans and players.

The Pirates have five World Series Titles to their name. These came in the years of 1909, 1925, 1960, 1971, and 1979. Although the Pirates have been struggling over the past few years, it is safe to say that they are going to get back on track sooner rather than later. The franchise is committed to winning, and this can be seen by an improvement from year to year.

Many great players have worn the Pirates jersey in the past. They include Roberto Clemente, Ralph Kiner, Willie Stargell, Bill Mazeroski, Honus Wagner, and many more. This list is only going to continue to grow over the next few years.

Overall, the Pirates are one of the most storied franchises in the league. They have been playing baseball for over 100 years, and are sure to be in Pittsburgh for at least 100 more.

PNC Park Information:

PNC Park is an open air stadium located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Since opening in March of 2001 this venue has been known as one of the best in all of Major League Baseball. Not only does it offer a lot to fans inside the park, but the views from the stands are breathtaking as well. When you take all of this into consideration it is easy to see why so many people sing the praises of PNC Park.

The Pittsburgh Pirates of the MLB is the only team that plays its home games at PNC Park. This venue is one of the smallest to be built over the past few years. In fact, it was the first park in quite a few years to be built with a capacity of fewer than 40,000. The exact capacity of PNC Park is 38,496, and at this time there are no talks about expanding this to accommodate room for more fans.

PNC Park includes many modern and luxury amenities. This includes 4 party suites, 69 luxury suites, and 2,800 club seats. While it costs more to sit in one of these areas, PNC Park is also known to have very low ticket prices. This way, fans of all budget ranges can find a seat that suits their needs at the park.

In addition to all of the baseball games that are played at PNC Park each year, concerts and other special events also stop by from time to time. In the past big names such as The Rolling Stones have stopped by for a show.

With so much to offer it is easy to see why PNC Park always ranks among the best stadiums in the league. It is safe to say that the Pirates will be playing their home games at PNC Park for quite a few years to come.
