The Pittsburgh Pirates are a Major League Baseball team that competes in the National League Central Division. The Pirates have been a member of Major League Baseball since 1882 which makes them one of the oldest franchises in all of professional sports. PNC Park is an open air stadium located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Since opening in March of 2001 this venue has been known as one of the best in all of Major League Baseball. The Pittsburgh Pirates of the MLB is the only team that plays its home games at PNC Park. This venue is one of the smallest to be built over the past few years. In fact, it was the first park in quite a few years to be built with a capacity of fewer than 40,000. The exact capacity of PNC Park is 38,496, and at this time there are no talks about expanding this to accommodate room for more fans.
PNC Park includes many modern and luxury amenities. This includes 4 party suites, 69 luxury suites, and 2,800 club seats. While it costs more to sit in one of these areas, PNC Park is also known to have very low ticket prices. This way, fans of all budget ranges can find a seat that suits their needs at the park.
In addition to all of the baseball games that are played at PNC Park each year, concerts and other special events also stop by from time to time. In the past big names such as The Rolling Stones have stopped by for a show.
