Tampa Bay Devil Rays Information:
The Tampa Bay Devil Rays are a Major League Baseball team that competes in the American League East Division. The Devil Rays were established in 1998, and this makes them one of the newer teams in the league. But even though the franchise has not been around for a long time, they have won quite a few games over the years. Additionally, they have done a great job in building a large fan base all over the country.
The Devil Rays play their home games at Tropicana Field. This venue has been the home of the Devil Rays since they began play, and will probably be for many years to come. Tropicana Field offers a nice experience for fans, and players seem to have a good time there as well.
Although the Devil Rays have won quite a few regular season games, they have yet to make the playoffs. They are in a very competitive division, and have found it tough to beat out the competition. But with that being said, the franchise is more devoted than ever before when it comes to breaking through this barrier and making it to the playoffs.
The team has only been around for about 10 years, but they have had some great players. Perhaps the most well known is third baseman Wade Boggs.
The Tampa Bay Devil Rays are working hard to field a team that is capable of challenging for an American League East Division Title. It is just a matter of time until they reach this goal.

Tropicana Field Information:
Tropicana Field is located in St. Petersburg, Florida, and is a domed stadium that opened its doors in March of 1990. Although this venue is not as new as some of the others in Major League Baseball, it does have a lot to offer any fan who is lucky enough to see a game inside.
The Tampa Bay Devil Rays of the MLB is the only primary tenant of Tropicana Field. They began playing at the stadium in 1998, and probably will be for many years to come. This stadium has a lot to offer, and is surely one of the nicest in the entire league. In addition to the Devil Rays several other teams have also used Tropicana Field for home games. They include the Tampa Bay Lightning of the NHL, and the Tampa Bay Storm of the AFL.
Although Tropicana Field is the current name of this venue, it has not been the name since opening. From 1990 to 1993 it was known as the Florida Suncoast Dome and from 1993 to 1996 the Thunderdome. The current capacity of this venue is 43,500 which make it one of the smaller venues in all of Major League Baseball. But with that being said, since this is a domed stadium when the fans get going the noise really picks up.
This venue has also been used for other events. For instance, in 1999 Tropicana Field hosted the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament Final Four. This is in addition to many concerts and other special events that stop by from time to time.
Overall, Tropicana Field has a lot to offer. Ask anybody who has seen an event at this venue, and they are sure to tell you that they had a great time. With great site lines of the field, top notch concessions, and a good fan experience who wouldn't have fun?
